Purpose:
The Bonnies Radio Network maintains the mission of broadcasting all St. Bonaventure University men's basketball games via radio. All games are broadcast in their entirety, including a pre-game and post-game show. In addition to live broadcasts, the Bonnies Radio Network also assists in the promotion of all St. Bonaventure Athletics events and varsity programs.
Components:
The Bonnies Radio Network is comprised of a flagship station and any network affiliate stations. All live broadcasts originate from the flagship station. Network affiliate stations receive the broadcasts from the flagship stations via telephone line or satellite feed. In addition, all St. Bonaventure men's basketball game broadcasts can be accessed live on the Internet at www.gobonnies.com.
Stations:
For the 2005-2006 season, WHDL/WPIG in Olean will serve as the flagship station for the Bonnies Radio Network. WHDL/WPIG (1450 AM/95.7 FM) enters its 59th consecutive season as the flagship station of St. Bona men's basketball. WXRL (1300 AM) in Lancaster, NY, will serve as a network affiliate station for the Buffalo area. WHTK (1280 AM) in Rochester, NY, will serve as the network affiliate station for the Rochester area.
