4/21/08 Women's Basketball to host a pair of girls summer camps Head women's basketball coach Jim Crowley and his staff will hold a pair of girls basketball camps this summer on the campus of St. Bonaventure University. All camps will be directed and planned by Crowley and his Bonnie assistants, while current Bona players will serve as camp counselors during both sessions. Competition will take place on the brand-new Bob Lanier Court in the historic Reilly Center as well as in the state-of-the-art Richter Center. (more)
4/3/08 Incoming Women's Basketball recruits flourish in final high school forays After finishing the 2007-08 campaign with a program best 18 victories as well as multiple new school records, the St. Bonaventure women's basketball team will return 10 letterwinners from last season's squad and add a talented quartet of freshmen who just culminated their high school careers on a high note. Jennie Ashton (Austin, Texas/McCallum), Jessica Jenkins (Marion, Ohio/Marion Harding), Linsey Niles (Lorraine, N.Y./South Jefferson) and Megan Van Tatenhove (Sheboygan Falls/Oostburg) make up head coach Jim Crowley's 2008 recruiting class and will all join their future Brown and White teammates on the court this fall. 3/7/08 Bonnies bounced by Rhode Island at Atlantic 10 Championship Rhode Island survived a furious second half Brown and White rally en route to holding on for a 61-49 upset of the St. Bonaventure women's basketball team on Friday evening in the Opening Round of the Atlantic 10 Championship at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. The Bonnies finished the 2007-08 campaign at 18-12 as the club established multiple school records, including the program's all-time win mark at the Division I level. St. Bonaventure hasn't fared well against the Rams of late as Rhode Island owns wins in 10 of the last 11 meetings against the Brown and White. (more)
